We need to show Latvian harbours to other people as Gulf of Riga harbours are not so popular and known as good among foreigners.
So last weekend we had a visit and familiarization trip from Finnish journalists. Paula Nikula from Kauppalehti.fi and Fredrik Andersson from Friskbris.fi had an opportunity to come to Latvia and visit our harbours and meet the harbour masters.
Together with Paula and Fredrik we visited all harbours of the Gulf of Riga.
First, we visited harbours in the city centre of Riga – City Yacht Club and Rīga Sport Sailing Centre yacht club. Then, we went to east side of the Gulf of Riga to visit Skulte Port, Salacgrīva port, Kuiviži marina and Auda marina. And last, we were on the west side of the Riga Gulf to visit harbours of Roja, Engure and Mērsrags.
Both – Paula and Fredrik – are sailors as well so they had a very professional look at our harbours and soon they will let Finnish sailors read and see absolutely beautiful pictures of our harbours.
